can a cop pull you over if say he passes you and suspects your seatbelt being off?

to be honest with you, i never wear my seatbelt, my great grandfather was killed because he was wearing his seatbelt, this happened when I was a little kid, so it was kind of engraved in my mind at the time and it has kind of stuck with me, knowing that seatbelts kill. Now don't get me wrong, they save more than they kill, but again, that was just imprinted into my mind as a toddler

i agree

its my [censored] car........if i dont wear a seatbelt it isnt hurting anybody else

secondly......ive been in a few accidents and everytime the ones wearing the seatbelt are the ones who get hurt

One BSG cop NEVER wears his seatbelt.

I think they can now pull you over if they think you're not wearing a seatbelt. That law went into effect a couple of years ago. They use to need another reason for pulling you over.

I can't wait for the day a cop pulls me over for not wearing a seatbelt.
